Conveyor belts and components
We are a leading advisor and supplier of conveyor belts across various industries.
Motus Nordic extensive experience in providing our customers with support and advice on choosing the right products. This includes our knowledge of which conveyor belts are suitable for transporting various products in both the food and non-food categories. We ensure that both the size and material of our conveyor belts meet your requirements.
Below you can read about our different types of conveyor belts and related accessories.
Flat conveyor belts are primarily used in light industrial applications such as the food, pharmaceutical, printing, packaging, material handling, and textile industries. Motus Nordic a conveyor belt for every application:
high-performance PU belts
This unique series of conveyor belts ensures optimal performance and uptime, the highest level of food safety, and a long service life for the conveyor belt. The product range is extensive, enabling us to solve the vast majority of tasks in the food industry.
We are distributors of Chiorino HP® conveyor belts and process belts. These belts are currently the leading products for the food industry in terms of hygiene, performance, and service life. HP® belts fully support all HACCP practices throughout the food production process.
When we produce high-performance belts, we mark them with a tracking number that identifies the conveyor belt and ensures traceability in accordance with EU Regulation 1935/2004.
PVC belts
PVC conveyor belts are available for transporting both food and non-food products. PVC is often a cost-effective solution for transport tasks where hygiene requirements are not high.
Customization of plastic belts
At our own factory, we can customize existing standard plastic conveyor belts. This includes adding cross profiles, carriers, guide profiles, waste edges, and corrugated side edges.
We combine our unique supplier network and many years of experience to deliver tailor-made solutions based on our customers' needs.
Black rubber conveyor belts with multiple layers of tensile strength are used in virtually all heavy industries such as sand and gravel, recycling, power plants, cement, and agriculture, to name just a few.
We are happy to assist with strength and capacity calculations using Dunlop's own calculation program. Please note that this requires relevant information about the conveyor belt, the environment, and the materials. Rubber for conveyor belts is typically made from synthetic rubber compounds such as styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), natural rubber, or a mixture of different types of rubber.
These rubber conveyor belt materials provide excellent resistance and wear resistance, as well as resistance to tearing and impact. Another advantage of rubber conveyor belts is that they can operate effectively in a wide range of temperatures, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Special formulations can be used for extreme temperature environments. One of the higher quality rubber conveyor belts is the Ultra X conveyor belt from Dunlop Conveyor Belting.
It is both affordable and economical to use thanks to its special properties compared to standard multi-ply textile conveyor belts. The advantages of the Ultra X belt include its strength and resistance to tearing. We also sell other types of Dunlop conveyor belts.
Modular conveyor belts are versatile and are often used in various industries to transport most types of unit loads in both straight and curved lines. The modular design makes the belts flexible and adaptable, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.
If a modular conveyor belt breaks or is damaged, it is typically possible to replace only the damaged sections. We offer both straight and side-flexible modular belts from Modutech and maintain a JIT (Just-In-Time) stock of the most common types so that we can provide fast on-site service.
A timing belt on a conveyor belt is used to transfer motion and drive the system. By combining the advantages of a timing belt (synchronous operation) with different types of designs, we offer a wide range of solutions where precision and timing are crucial.
Motus Nordic timing belts in various materials and for different applications. Our selection of timing belts includes:
- PU (polyurethane) timing belts
- Profiled timing belts
- Tooth belts with silicone coating
- Toothed belts with coatings, carriers, or brushes
- Toothed belts with vacuum holes for vertical bag fillers
A drum motor is a type of motorized pulley used in conveyor belt systems. It combines the motor and pulley (or belt drive) into a single unit. The drum motor is typically located at the discharge end of the conveyor belt and provides the driving force for the conveyor belt.
Our range of drum motors includes:
- Drum motors with different types of rubber surfaces
- Drum motors with guide rails and roller coating
- Different types of gears for drum motors
- Drum motors with teeth or brushes
- Different types of cable connections for drum motors
Drum motors for conveyor belts are typically designed to provide an efficient and reliable solution for conveyor belt operation. The inclusion of toothing or brushes in drum motors serves specific purposes: Toothing refers to the presence of teeth or gear teeth on the outer surface of the drum motor. These teeth engage with the conveyor belt and provide a positive drive mechanism. Toothing prevents the belt from slipping and ensures that the movement of the conveyor belt is constant and synchronized with the rotation of the drum motor.
Round belts are often used as a means of power transmission between rollers. These round belts play a crucial role in transporting objects along the conveyor belt system. Round belts and round straps are designed to provide a firm grip on the rollers and minimize slippage during operation.
Round belts are suitable for transporting a wide range of individual items, from small packages to larger products. Their flexibility makes it easy to adapt them to different roller configurations and conveyor belt layouts, and they can be easily assembled on site with simple tools.
Our range of round belts includes:
- Round belts for driven roller conveyors and transport of individual items
- Round belts with different hardnesses and for use in different temperature ranges
- Tubular round belts
- Round belts with reinforced core, e.g., aramid
